Highly qualified candidate needs knowledge of the Spanish content. Classes include year-long classes Spanish I, II, III and IV. Candidate must be fluent in Spanish and have excellent translation and communication skills. Experience is preferred, but it is not a requirement. The candidate Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Spanish/Foreign Language endorsement as required by the Illinois State Board of Education, willing to obtain a Spanish/foreign language endorsement, or bachelors degree in a related field. The candidate should also have effective communication skills, both verbal and written, be well organized and utilize teaching strategies that reach a variety of learning styles.
